American actress Connie Britton was born on March 6, 1968 in Boston, Massachusetts. She moved with her family to Lynchburg, Virginia at the age of seven, and majored in Asian Studies at Dartmouth College. After graduation, she immediately moved to New York City where she studied at the Neighborhood Playhouse and performed on off-Broadway theaters. At the Courtyard Playhouse, she made her NY theatrical debut in Caroline Kava’s The Early Girl. Her well-received performance almost got her expelled from the Neighborhood Playhouse because she took professional employment while studying. It won the Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival and launched her career.

Before that, Britton was cast in the drama film Special Ed in 2005, as well as in the comedy The Life Coach. She soon landed a recurring role on the award-winning series 24, appearing as Diane Huxley in a number of episodes.
