Biography

Born on August 22, 1990 in London, England, Georgina Moffat is an actress best known for her role as Abigail Stock on the comedic teen drama Skins. Despite being born in London, Moffat has dual nationality. She is half-Australian. She started modeling when she was 15, having appeared in various editorial publications.

After being born in England, Moffat spent most of her childhood in Hungary, only moving to London to attend secondary school, which she did at Cranleigh School. The founder of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, Sir Herbert Beerbohm Tree, is Moffat’s great great grandfather, just one of the numerous family members who are also in the acting profession. Moreover, her grandfather Ivan Moffat was a highly acclaimed screenwriter. Poet and actress Iris Tree is her great grandmother.

Moffat’s break, however, came in 2007 with the critically acclaimed Skins, a BAFTA Award-winning British television series which follows the lives of a group of teenagers living in Bristol, as they depict the everyday lives of ordinary adolescents. Following a self-contained theme, each episode focuses on each different character, featuring their current life in Bristol as well as their background, which mostly centers on their family.
