Biography
Born in Ireland, Aidan Turner is an actor who is best known for his role as John Mitchell on Being Human, the British supernatural drama-comedy series about three 20-somethings who struggle to live normal lives while maintaining dark and strange secrets. After graduating from The Gaiety School of Acting diploma course in 2004, he briefly appeared in the first episode of the Ireland-Canada production of The Tudors as the character Bedoli. He was then cast in the Irish hospital drama The Clinic as Ruairi McGowan, a role he played for 10 episodes. Turner is also credited for playing Dante Gabriel Rossetti in the BBC Two drama series Desperate Romantics.On Being Human, Turner stars as the good-looking and laid-back John Mitchell, who leads a double life as hospital porter and a blood-sucking vampire struggling with going cold-turkey from the blood he craves.
