Biography
James Scott was born on January 14, 1979 in Newcastle Upon Tyne, England. He said that he knew at a young age that acting was for him, and seeing where his career goes has been an interesting ride. Yet he was born into a small non-show-business family in England. He was a typical English lad, attending a boarding school for boys in Lancaster, Lancashire, until one day he decided to explore his dream. He began career in the music industry and later on he started acting in community theaters. He left home at the age of 16 and moved to Edinburgh where he became involved in the arts. He began his career working in the music industry promoting clubs and DJ-ing in different parts of England. He also had small roles on TV shows in England. He then moved to London where he was educated at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA).
James Scott has also done modeling for clothing companies. On one of his modeling trips, he attended an acting class at the Ivana Chubbuck studio in Hollywood. He then saved up to move to Los Angeles where he studied acting for two more years. His first appearance was in All My Children. After his role was suddenly killed, he auditioned for NBC’s long-running soap Days of Our Lives and was cast as EJ Wells .
When he’s not busy filming with Days of our Lives, James Scott says he just tries to relax. He goes takes his three dogs out for walks into the hills around Los Angeles. He also does a lot of outdoorsy stuff, such as climbing, kayaking, and going to the beach. He says he is not really a fan of shopping or drinking in bars and instead prefers a nice, quiet life.
