Biography
A Fort Lauderdale, Florida-native, Jason Kennedy’s knack for hosting started quite early. He spent most of his childhood days chasing news trucks and going to news scenes to mock-report on the local news. When he was on the fifth grade, he constructed a studio in his basement, with 20 televisions, four cameras, a news desk, and an editing station. He went on-air as an anchor at the age of 15, and on national television via “Too Hot For Ice” on the America One Television Network at the age of 17.
Jason Kennedy went on to attend the University of Miami in Florida, and during his stay, won several awards, including the state-wide prestigious Associated Press Award for Best News Feature. He also hosted a campus-based television show called “Storm Front” while attending UM. He moved to Los Angeles in 2004 when he anchored a segment for Open Call on the TV Guide Channel. His notable coverage includes covering big events such as President Clinton’s visit to Miami to the highly mundane Paris Hilton’s visit to a spa in Beverly Hills.
In 2005, Jason Kennedy joined E! as a news correspondent. Since joining the E! Networks team, he has worked as a weekend anchor for E! News, even hosting the Daily 10 show and several specials, such as the death of Anna Nicole Smith in 2007.
Jason Clark also hosts the ABC dancing competition Dance Machine. The show features “regular folks” compete to see who can dance the meanest tango or jive.
