Biography
Julie Gonzalo is an Argentine-American actress who is known for her roles as Parker Lee in “Veronica Mars”, Shelby in “A Cinderella Story” and Maggie Dekker in “Eli Stone”.
Gonzalo was raised in Miami, Florida, where she began her career as a print model. She later took extensive training in acting and dance, and soon ventured into acting on television. She landed her first film audition for “I’m With Lucy”, which starred Monica Potter and Gael Garcia Bernal.
In 2003, Gonzalo appeared in “Freaky Friday”, alongside Lindsay Lohan, Jamie Lee Curtis and Chad Michael Murray. Gonzalo again worked with Chad Murray in “A Cinderella Story”, with Hillary Duff. In FOX’s “Dodgeball”, she played Justin Long’s love interest. Her other recent film work include those in “Must Love Dogs” with Diane Lane and Dermot Mulroney and “Christmas with the Kranks”. As for television, Gonzalo appeared on Veronica Mars as Parker. She also became part of ABC’s Eli Stone, where she plays Maggie Dekker, an inexperienced junior associate who doesn’t believe in Eli Stone’s decision to change his life, after he realizes that he may be a real prophet. In 2009, she was cast on the NBC sci-fi series “Day One”, which follows a group of apartment residents who survives an unknown global catastrophe.
Currently, Gonzalo returns to TV in the up-to-date version of Dallas as Rebecca Sutter, girlfriend of lead character Christopher Ewing played by Jesse Metcalfe.
