Biography
Lucas Bryant is a Canadian actor born and raised in Elmiria, Ontario. He studied acting at Oakville’s Sheridan College. Although Lucas Bryant is already a successful actor by his own right, he remains down to earth and doesn’t take his achievements to heart. He has appeared on stage in numerous places in Canada, acting on plays like The Crucible, The King & I, as well as Zoo Story.
Lucas Bryant has worked in almost every breathtaking TV genre. His performances include those in the romantic comedy Playing House and the drama More Sex and Single Mom. He later found himself on the steamy and melodramatic Sex Love and Secrets with fellow TV hottie Eric Balfour. He later played guest roles in the television series Queer as Folk, where he was cast as the character Tucker. His next roles were those in Odyssey 5 in 2003 on the episode “Begotten,” as well as a role in Playmakers. He later starred in the independent movie A Sweet Dream About Nuclear War, and played Brad on the short film I Hate Musicals. It was written and directed by Steven Schrill, and also stars Laura Breckenridge.
In 2008, Lucas Bryant rose to fame playing the role of Gabe McCall on Soap Net’s Canadian drama series MBP. His character is the good-looking captain of the Mustangs, which causes him to be the subject of desire for many ice-hockey groupies. The other stars of the series include Kristin Booth, Dillon Casey, Natalie Krill, Peter Miller, Deborah Odell, Anastasia Phillips, Matthew Bennett, Amanda Brugel and Alec McClure. Bryant is also known for starring in many Canadian TV projects, some of them being Crazy Canucks, An American in Canada, and The Eleventh Hour. He worked with Curtis Harrison, Kyle Labine, and Sandy Robson on the sport drama Crazy Canucks, and with Helene Joy, Rick Roberts and Stewart Francis in the comedy An American in Canada.
In 2009, he was cast as Nathan Wournos on the SyFy series Haven, about a small town where people with supernatural powers go and live.
