Biography
Sebastian Stan is a Romanian-American actor who is perhaps best known for his role as Chase Collins in the supernatural thriller, The Covenant. As a child, he attended the Rockland Country Day School in New York where he starred in productions like Harvey, Cyrano de Bergerac, Little Shop of Horrors, Over Here, and West Side Story. He also attended Stagedoor Manor summer camp where he was further immersed into acting and was cast in many camp productions.
Having decided to take acting seriously, Stan applied for acting programs at several universities and got accepted at Rutgers University’s Mason Gross School of the Arts, which gave him a chance to spend a year abroad studying acting at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre in London, England.
In 2003, Stan got his TV break on Law & Order where he guest starred as Justin Capshaw. Later, he was featured in movies such as Tony N’ Tina’s Wedding, Red Doors, The Covenant, The Education of Charlie Banks, Rachel Getting Married and The Architect, opposite Anthony LaPaglia, Isabella Rossellini and Hayden Panettiere.
Stan returned to the small screen to play Carter Baizen on Gossip Girl, where he worked alongside his girlfriend Leighton Meester. He was also cast to play the handsomely arrogant son of King Silas, Jack Benjamin, who was raised in the lap of luxury and spirals down a destructive path in search of himself, on the NBC drama Kings.
