Biography

Film and television actor Peter Cambor , who was born on September 28, 1978, was encouraged by his mother to take acting classes when he was studying at the Deerfield Academy. From there, he went on to act in several productions in high school and college. After graduating from the Wesleyan University with a degree in English, Cambor moved to New York in the hopes of becoming a great actor. After some time, he decided to go back to school for his M.F.A in acting. He studied at the American Repertory Theatre’s Institute for Advanced Theatre Training and the Moscow Art Theatre in Russia.

In 2002, Cambor starred in Up to the Roof. The short drama enabled him to work with Neil Stewart and Alexis Raben, and he got the role of Alexander. He also worked on another short film, titled The J2 Project. After he finished his post-graduate degree at Harvard in 2007, he got a guest spot on the series Numb3rs. He portrayed the character Logan Oliver. In 2005, Cambor acted in the Gideon Lester play Amerika or the Disappearance, where he had the roles of Schubal/Bess/Policeman. Cambor later landed the role of the expectant father Andrew on the ABC comedy series Notes from the Underbelly. This was all because of his performance in a Los Angeles production of The Cherry Orchard, where he was able to work alongside actors Annette Benning and Alfred Molina. In 2008, Cambor landed a role on the dark romantic comedy series Pushing Daisies, appearing on an episode as the character Dusty Fitz.

At present, Cambor stars as Nate Getz on the CBS series NCIS: Los Angeles.
