It’s a great time to be a TV character. We literally obsess over our favorite characters and can’t help but quote them at any chance we get. Here are 17 characters on TV that we just can’t stop obsessing over.

#17 Erlich Bachman, Silicon Valley

Bachman is the wannabe bum that everyone knows, but at the end of the day, he’s a good friend. He puts on a selfish front, but he still wants to see his buds succeed.

#16 Tina Belcher, Bob’s Burgers

Tina Belcher is everyone’s spirit animal. Never have you ever heard anyone say things like what comes out of Tina’s mouth. Her obsessions range from butts to vampires and she’s easily one of the most unique characters on TV.

#15 Adam Sackler, Girls

Adam wasn’t always a favorite character. His selfish attitude left much to be desired, but he became charming in his own way. Once he found his way with his acting career, his character became even more enjoyable to watch.

#14 Nick Miller, New Girl

Nick Miller, the every-man. His laziness and completely erratic rationales are hilarious and will make you question why you’ve ever tried at anything. While he may not seem to have goals of any kind, you can’t deny his lifestyle is the most appealing thing ever. Nick says and does what all of us wish we were doing.

#13 Sherlock Holmes, Sherlock

Sherlock is one of the wittiest, craziest and quick-witted people on TV. His banter with Watson and sheer bluntness is addicting.

Sherlock Holmes, Sherlock

#12 Selina Meyer, Veep

A completely different politician than House of Cards’ Frank Underwood, Selina Meyer is every Veep fans’ hero. She’s patient, clear and full of wisdom. She can be very irrational, but in the most hilarious way.

#11 Suzanne “Crazy Eyes” Warren, Orange is the New Black

Suzanne is amazing. The one-time just hilarious and crazy inmate at Litchfield has entered our hearts and will never leave. Every episode of OITNB is automatically improved when she’s in a scene.

#10 Francis Underwood, House of Cards

The Walter White of the politics. While the newest season didn’t have as much unpredictability or rash moves (like the now-infamous subway scene), don’t ever think for a second that you have Frank figured out. As he claims power and has to stand on his own, his desperation to keep that power can only lead to more unpredictability.

#9 Amy Schumer, Inside Amy Schumer

There’s no denying that Amy Schumer is one of the biggest names in television and comedy right now, and with good reason. Her skits in Inside Amy Schumer are equal parts hilarious and thought-provoking. She pokes fun and points attention at some serious gender issues in society and what it’s like for women like her to have to deal with them.

#8 Arya Stark, Game of Thrones

Arya is the youngest badass in Game of Thrones and possibly all of TV. From the tomboyish little girl she once was, she’s become a ruthless vigilante in search of vengeance for her family. Watching her get that revenge is incredibly satisfying.

#7 Charlie Kelly, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia

Charlie Kelly is one of the most fascinating specimen alive. From his cheese obsession to his illiteracy to his glue addiction, there is literally nothing that isn’t entertaining to watch about Charlie. If you don’t already watch Always Sunny you need to check it out. “You’ll be smitten.”

#6 Cisco Ramon, The Flash

Cisco keeps it real and is always dependable. He’s probably the one person on the Flash team that you can always count on to help out and raise your spirits. You don’t get a better sidekick than Cisco and watching him fight for justice with The Flash is one of the best parts of the show. That and his glorious hair.

#5 Abby Sciuto, NCIS

Abby is the best friend we all wish we had. She has a style that is all her own and a confidence to envy. She’s a tough badass, but her soft side is so endearing to see. There’s no problem she can’t solve, so we can never wait to see how Abby is going to handle something.

#4 Daryl Dixon, The Walking Dead

The only reason to not stop watching The Walking Dead is Daryl Dixon. He stays cool and collected and always knows exactly what to do. You always hope Daryl is going to brandish his crossbow because you know something badass is about to happen.

#3 Laurel Lance/Black Canary, Arrow

While we all loved Sara Lance as the Black Canary, Laurel has seriously taken her to new levels. Watching her fight crime is often more entertaining than watching Green Arrow because Laurel does it with a lot more ferocity and attitude. I’d rather be saved by her than Oliver any day.

#2 Damon, The Vampire Diaries

Damon is the real reason to keep tuning in to The Vampire Diaries. He looks great shirtless, takes care of his brother and is super suave. If I lived in Mystic Falls, Damon could convince me to do anything.

#1 Dean Winchester, Supernatural

It’s hard to pick a most addicting Supernatural character, but when it comes down to it, Dean Winchester is really where it’s at. Not only is he a huge badass, his one-liners are easily the best part of the show. Anytime he calls Sam “Sammy,” all of our hearts melt. Also when he flashes that award-winning smile.
