Fashion designer Catherine Malandrino was born on April 22, 1963 in France. She has since moved to New York City and has worked on her own label. At a young age, she had already dreamt of working in the fashion industry. She graduated from Esmod and found jobs in numerous couture houses in Paris. She has worked with Dorothee Bis, Louis Feraud, Emanuel Ungaro and Et Bous.
In 2001, Catherine Malandrino rose to fame in America for launching her iconic Flag collection. She later received accolades for her Hallelujah collection, but has been praised for her contemporary Catherine Malandrino line and her runway line Malandrino. She also designs accessories like handbags, belts and jewelry. She also became known for her participation in the Bravo reality series Make Me A Supermodel, where she appeared as a judge.
