Biography
American actress Daniella Alonso was born on September 22, 1978 in New York City. This animal-lover was born from a Puerto Rican mother and a father who was from Peru, with Japanese origins. Before she got into acting, she participated in karate and earned a fourth-level green belt. Aside from that, she worked at Ford Models and eventually worked on her career in the entertainment industry.
In 1997, Daniella Alonso had a small role in the film Academy Boyz. She took a break from acting for a while and returned with a guest appearance in Law & Order: Criminal Intent in 2001.That same year, she was cast in the movie Black Night. She returned to the Law & Order franchise a couple of years later, in addition to a role on Rhythm of the Saints.
She then got cast as Pilar Domingo on the daytime drama As the World Turns from 2003 to 2004, and later appeared on several episodes of the series One Tree Hill as Anna Taggaro. In 2006, Alonso bagged a role on CSI:NY and went on to star in several films. She was seen in The Last Romantic, All You’ve Got, and Hood of Horror. Other credits of hers include the films The Hills Have Eyes 2 and Wrong Turn 2: Dead End, as well as small parts in CSI: Miami and Saving Grace.
From 2007 to 2008, Daniella Alonso became known for portraying Carlotta Alonso on the series Friday Night Lights. She followed this up with more TV roles, such as those on Knight Rider, CSI, Without a Trace and Stargate Atlantis. As for her movie appearances, she was in Love Song and The Collector, as well as A Poor Kid’s Guide to Success.
In 2010, she was cast in the movies Re-Kill and The Mulberry Tree, in addition to getting a regular spot on the ABC drama My Generation. She bagged the part of Brenda Serrano in the documentary-style show. The series, however, only lasted eight episodes.
In 2012, Alonso appeared Rizzoli & Isles and Covert Affairs before joining the cast of the NBC series Revolution as Nora. At present, she is part of the NBC series Night Shift.
