Biography
Edna Marie ‘E’ Mode is a fictional fashion designer, and supporting character from the Disney and Pixar motion picture The Incredibles. She is half-Japanese and half-German, and is a self-proclaimed auteur. Her job is to create custom-made original outfits for superheroes ever since their glory days. She also believes that her clients are gods, and feels very superior to all other designers in the world.
Edna Mode also shows little respect for runway boutiques and modern fashion models, because of her experience with them. When she went to Milan, she encountered some of them and found them spoiled brats. Edna was called out of retirement to design a new super suit for Mr. Incredible. Only asked to do one piece, she ended up making five matching outfits for his whole family. Edna is also peeved by adding capes to suits, claiming that they are dangerous when close to jet engines. She uses top-notch technology in her home, as well as in designing clothes. Her bold and eccentric attitude is only a match for her talent, which she has plenty of.
Edna Mode is voiced by Brad Bird in the English version of The Incredibles.
