Biography
Melody Thomas Scott, who was born on April 1956 in Los Angeles, California, is an Emmy Award winning actress who first appeared on the big screen in 1964’s Alfred Hitchcock movie, Marnie. Her notable film appearance was in John Wayne’s last film, The Shootist in 1976. She was then offered parts in series such as The Waltons, The Rockford Files, and Charlie’s Angels. In 1979, she was cast for the role of stripper Nikki Reed on the daytime soap, The Young and the Restless.
Nikki Reed Newman is portrayed by Melody Thomas Scott in the soap opera, The Young and the Restless. Nikki used to be a stripper and prostitute, until she married the wealthy business tycoon, Victor Newman, with whom she has two children, Victoria and Nicholas. Nikki and Victor met at a strip club and married in 1984. Four years later, they ended their marriage and got together with other people. Nikki became involved with another wealthy man, Jack Abbott while Victor married Ashley, Jack’s half sister. After Ashley miscarried her baby with Victor, the two separated and Nikki and Jack parted ways shortly after. Victor’s feelings for Nikki came back, however Nikki married Dr. Joshua Landers.
