Biography
Born on August 27, 1977 in Atlanta, Georgia is an actor best known for guest spots on such shows like Worst Week, The Shield, and more recently the ABC series In The Motherhood. He kicked off his acting career in 1983 as the host of the short-lived television show Kids Beat. This led to small parts in movies and television, until 1989 when he was cast in the 1989 film Glory opposite Denzel Washington, who received an Academy Award for the role, when his career blossomed. In the previous year he was cast in the campy The Return of Swamp Thing. He also had a major role in the film How I Spent My Summer Vacation, followed by the 2005 film Guess Who with Bernie Mac and Ashton Kutcher.
During the 1990s, Lee started to bag guest starring roles in television shows, such as In the Heat of the Night, 413 Hope St., and Home Improvement. For a couple of years, he appeared as mechanic Tyreke Scott in the television series Sister, Sister, followed by the UPN sitcom Moesha in one episode. Moving forward, he bagged roles in popular series such as Monk, Committed, Girlfriends, Worst Week, and In the Motherhood.
In 2010, he was cast as Julius Grant on the FOX series The Good Guys, as well as Jamal on Let’s Stay Together.
