Of the many couples we saw on “90 Day Fiancé,” Pedro Jimeno and Chantel Everett gave fans a lot to remember. Some even wished the show didn’t end — but it ended so we could have something more up close and personal with the couple.
“The Family Chantel” is a spinoff series of “90 Day Fiancé.” Just as the other spinoff series from the “90 Day Fiancé” franchise focuses on individual couples, “The Family Chantel” focuses on fan-favorites, Chantel and Pedro, and their families.
The show explores the ups and downs of their relationship and their families’ involvement. In summary, “The Family Chantel” is messy. Perhaps this is what viewers love about the show.
This article discusses the characters of “The Family Chantel” and all you need to know about the reality television show.
Main Characters of “The Family Chantel”
While Pedro Jimeno and Chantel Everett are the main focus of “The Family Chantel,” the reality show also features several other main characters. Here’s a brief introduction of all the main characters.
Chantel Everett-Jimeno:
Chantel is not a new face to fans of the “90 Day Fiancé” franchise. We saw her in “90 Day Fiancé” in 2014, as well as “90 Day Fiance: Self-Quarantined” and “90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?” Chantel is a major cast member in “The Family Chantel,” and just as the title suggests, the reality show revolves around Chantel and her husband, Pedro. The couple met when Chantel took a trip to the Dominican Republic. Chantel is one of the most popular reality stars around. Her Instagram page has more than 800k followers.
Pedro Jimeno:
Pedro Jimeno, like his ‘boo’ Chantel, is well renowned within the “90 Day Fiancé” franchise. The Dominican-born reality TV star met his wife, Chantel, while working as a Spanish tutor in the Dominican Republic. Besides being a reality TV star, Pedro works in a warehouse whenever he isn’t filming. He is also a high-earning gamer on Twitch. His Instagram bio introduces him as a Twitch affiliate aiming to become a partner someday. Pedro has 385k followers on Instagram currently.
Karen Everett:
Karen Everett is Chantel’s mom. The American author, speaker, and businesswoman is known for her appearance in “90 Day Fiancé: Pillow Talk (2019)” and “90 Day Fiancé: Self-Quarantined (2020).” She is usually at the center of the drama between her family and her in-laws — Pedro’s family.
River Everett:
Riverknight Everett is Chantel’s younger brother whom we met in “90 Day Fiancé: Pillow Talk” and, of course, in the first season of “The Family Chantel.” Outside filming, River is an uprising musician. The Atlanta-based rapper is currently gearing up to release a new song every week beginning on June 6th — the same date “The Family Chantel” season four premieres.
Winter Everett:
Our first encounter with Chantel’s younger sister, Winter Everett, was as a guest in “90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?” She reappeared in “The Family Chantel” and then “90 Day Fiancé: Self-Quarantined.” The reality TV star has had struggles with her weight and self-image. Winter hasn’t failed to carry her fans along on her weight loss journey. The reality TV star recently underwent gastric sleeve surgery, a weight loss procedure to shrink her stomach.
Thomas Everett:
Not much is known about Chantel’s father, Thomas Everett. However, we’ve seen him make appearances on “90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?,” “90 Day Fiancé: Self-Quarantined,” and, of course, “The Family Chantel.” Of Chantel’s parents, Thomas has been more accepting of Pedro.
Nicole Jimeno:
While we have met a lot of Chantel’s family, the case is not the same with Pedro. We met Nicole, Pedro’s sister, first in 2016 — on “90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?” She is a major antagonist on the show, notorious for her clashes with her brother’s wife, Chantel. She would go to any length to see the two break up — even going as far as conniving with her best friend Coarima to spread a rumor about Chantel. Off-screen, Nicole is a model. She made an entry into pageantry late last year when she contested to become the Miss Universe Dominican Republic — and she made it to the final 10. The fast-rising model recently had breast augmentation surgery against the objection of her boyfriend. Will this affect their relationship? We’ll find answers soon.
Royal Everett:
We didn’t get to meet the oldest of Chantel’s siblings — Royal Everett — until season two. He missed season one because he was away studying in Texas. Royal has a similar love story to Chantel’s. He met his ‘boo,’ Angenette, while in Texas, and for this couple it was like love at first sight. By the second date, Royal was sure Angenette was his future wife. Shortly after, the two got married in a small and quiet ceremony in America. Everything seemed cool until Royal introduced Angenette to his family ahead of the second wedding. The couple exited the show after all the drama in season two. They welcomed their first child sometime last year.
Angenette Everett:
Just like Royal, we also met Angenette in season two of “The Family Chantel.” The Filipino was the subject of many jabs from her in-laws after Royal introduced her. Despite that, she got married to Royal in the season two finale. The couple has since then opted for a more private life.
Recurring Characters of “The Family Chantel”
Below is a list and brief highlight of the few characters we have seen repeatedly featured in the show — but are surely not main casts.
- Jah: Jah is Winter’s boyfriend. The single father of two made his first appearance in 2016 — “90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?” The couple parted ways in 2021 after dating for six years.
- Lidia Morel Jimeno: Lidia is Pedro and Nicole Jimeno’s mom. Lidia debuted in “90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?” According to an interview, outside the show, it appears Lidia Morel is an immigration attorney.
- Alejandro Padrón: Before featuring in “The Family Chantel,” Alejandro Padrón featured in “Habana Blues” as Alejandro. Padrón is Nicole’s boyfriend. Their relationship was a major storyline.
- Coraima Morla: Morla is close friends with Nicole — the women grew up together. Morla has a crush on Nicole’s brother, Pedro, which she hasn’t been shy about. In season three, Nicole accused Morla of having an affair with Pedro. With the two friends, it’s always one drama or the other.
- Megan: We also met singer and model Megan in the series. Megan is River Everett’s erstwhile lover. The couple did split in season three of the show.

Is “The Family Chantel” Over?
Definitely not. The “90 Day Fiancé” spinoff is, in fact, just about to get more interesting with season four premiering soon.
Curious to know what season four of the series is about? Here’s how a TLC press release describes it.
“Five years into marriage Chantel and Pedro have hit a rough patch. The only thing they can agree on is that they need to take serious steps to save their love. Nicole has made a clean break with Alejandro and is focusing on herself and her future. She’s even entered the Miss Dominican Republic pageant and is training hard until a surprise visit from Alejandro throws her off her game.
“River decides it’s time to leave the nest and turns to Pedro for support. Pedro’s relationship with his mother and sister is still strained, which isn’t helping the two families bury the hatchet after last season’s visit to the Dominican Republic. While Chantel and Pedro are struggling to save their marriage, will their families rally to support them or end up hammering the final nail in the coffin?”
Not much is revealed in this synopsis. Hopefully, fans will get answers to their most pertinent questions from the last season.
When Is Season 4 of “The Family Chantel” Coming Out?
“The Family Chantel” season four is set for a June 6, 2022, release date. You can catch the premiere on TLC at 8 pm ET/PT.
