Though there have been numerous reports about the firing of Phaedra Parks following the bombshell she dropped on the Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion show, nothing has been made official. Still, the future doesn’t look bright for the former fan favorite.
Phaedra Parks ‘Would Love to Continue’ on The Real Housewives of Atlanta>>>
“I think we’re looking at how Atlanta could shake out with or without Phaedra,” Bravo exec Andy Cohen told TVGuide.com. “I think the big question becomes, not what she did — well, that’s part of it — but how will the women interact with her or will they interact with her anymore. If you have a show about a group of friends and one of them is completely cast out, it’s hard to do a show about a group of friends.”
There have been many fights involving Parks on The Real Housewives of Atlanta over the years but her involvement in season nine’s Lesbiangate was the worst. The attorney came under fire for confessing to telling Porsha Williams that that Kandi Burruss and husband Todd Tucker had planned on drugging Williams and their mutual friend Shamea Morton one night in order to take advantage of them sexually.
Considering the turn of events, Cohen reveals that producers usually listen to viewers and follow their intuition when there is a need to make changes in the cast.
“We’re smart. We go with our gut,” he explained. “And we also look ahead and say, ‘What will this person bring to the show next season? How will this be different or how will it be something interesting to the viewers?'”
