Prepare for a double dose of handsomeness on FOX’s new comedy The Grinder this February. First reported by EW, Arrow and Teen Wolf star Colton Haynes will be guest starring on the series as none other than the son of Rob Lowe’s Mitch Grinder.
In the February 2 episode, Haynes will appear as Luke Grinder, the son of lawyer Mitch Grinder on the fictional legal drama within the comedy series, The Grinder. In that show, Luke was brought onto the series to ground the Grinder and help try to make him more of a family man, and there will undoubtedly be a parallel in the real world for Lowe’s narcissistic actor, Dean Sanderson. The episode will also feature the return of Timothy Olyphant who will go head-to-head with Dean in a mock trial to decide who is the better Grinder.
In other Grinder news, Rob Lowe’s real-life brother Chad Lowe is set to direct an upcoming episode which will feature guest star Maya Rudolph.
This latest casting news means Haynes will have a very big start to February. While his episode of The Grinder airs February 2, the very next day he will return to Arrow as Roy Harper, aka the superhero known as Arsenal. The last time fans saw the character, his death was faked and he left Star City after exposing himself as the vigilante known as the Arrow.
The Grinder airs Tuesdays at 9:30pm on FOX.
