Imagine the worst thing that’s ever happened in the history of the world and then double it. Now you’re prepared for the news that will mark Supernatural fans’ Day of Infamy.
The CW is postponing the scheduled returns of Smallville and Supernatural one week. The two were originally scheduled to have new episodes Friday, January 28, the first new episodes in seven weeks. But now the network is pushing them back, so the new episodes won’t air until February 4.
The news is even worse because earlier this week the studio released a screener of the new episode of Supernatural to critics, so while I’ve been talking the episode up to fans, you’ll have to wait seven whole days more to see it.
Instead, the network will reair Thursday’s episodes of The Vampire Diaries and Nikita due to the fact that some stations are preempting them.
I’m incredibly sorry to bring you this news. This is just one of those things that happens.
