Did seeing (or reading about) the White Collar panel at the 2010 Comic-Con in San Diego whet your appetite for more mystery, action, drama and criminal masterminding from the USA show?
We’re pretty sure that was all part of the plan when cast members Matthew Bomer (Neal Caffrey), Tim DeKay (Peter Burke), Tiffani Thiessen (Elizabeth Burke), Sharif Atkins (Jones) and Marsha Thomason (FBI Agent Diana Lancing), along with executive producers Jeff Eastin and Jeff King, popped in for the first-ever White Collar panel, with Willie Garson (Mozzie) moderating. And as USA’s newbie show, White Collar had great company in San Diego, sandwiched in between the Burn Notice and Psych panels.
Our favorite insight from the panel: Garson asked Bomer what song he would sing at an American Idol audition, and the cast agreed he should sing the Folger’s theme song (which you’ll find on the gag reel of the season 1 DVD). Bomer himself would rather sing something by Chris Daughtry.
We caught up with three members of the cast, Thomason, Thiessen and Bomer, after the panel to get the inside scoop about starring on the USA show.
Watch Marsha Thomason talk about the awesomeness of White Collar fans and the non-awesomeness of 16-hour work days; Tiffani Thiessen discuss motherhood, returning to New York and her newest project; and Matthew Bomer giving props to devoted fans of the show and discussing what it’s like to play Neal, “a big 3-year-old” whose Achilles’ heel is most certainly the ladies.
