Host Chris Harrison gives viewers more reasons to tune in on The Bachelor as he talks about what sets season 19 apart from previous season and reveals the names of the women to watch out for. This season love searcher Chris Soules will be dipping his toe in a “dating puddle” as he tries to make a love connection among his 30 bachelorettes.

“I never really thought about what a population of that size meant in terms of Chris’ prospects until I saw how he reacted on night one. He was like a kid in a candy store,” Harrison tells Yahoo TV. “Chris was so overwhelmed and blown away by the women that it was endearing. At first, I thought he was giving me lip service and being nice, but I realized he’d never really dated women as beautiful as this.”
According to Harrison, Soules “is one of the easiest Bachelors we’ve ever had because he’s a regular dude who was always so appreciative of the opportunity and is used to long hours and working hard as a farmer.” The Bachelor host adds that Soules is committed to finding someone to share his life with though trying to find women who are willing to embrace life in Arlington, Iowa, where Soules resides as a farmer, is easier said than done.

“The further the women go and as the season moves along, that becomes more of an issue because pulling that trigger is no small decision for most of the women,” Harrison said.
And while fans can expect at least one helicopter ride this season, majority of the show will take place in Soules’ hometown. Harrison revealed though there will be exotic dates overseas, most of Soules’ dates are domestic and will take place outdoors. “There’s camping and rafting, and some of these girls aren’t quite equipped for his lifestyle,” Harrison revealed. “But it was important for him to see who didn’t take to it so he could make better decisions about who to send home.”
As for the women this season, Harrison names five ladies who will make quite an impact:
Ashley – “She’s a self-proclaimed virgin with a healthy libido.”
Britt – “If he had to pick one straight out of the limo that first night, it was Britt, who I think is the first girl to get out of the limos. The best part was that she walked up, he told her she is beautiful, and then they hugged. And they kept hugging. And then the hug doesn’t stop and it gets awkward. It is the longest hug I’ve ever seen during the arrivals.”
Jade – “She has a bit of a rebellious past. She has something in her past that we will all learn about eventually, but she held back from telling Chris about it for quite a long time, and that might sabotage her chances with him.”
Kelsey – “She saw Chris on Andi’s show, took a liking to him, and thought, ‘This is fate. I’m going to meet him and he will be my new husband.'”
Whitney – “Whitney said she has watched the show since high school, which made me feel old, but Chris is the first bachelor that convinced her to come on the show.”
The Bachelor season 19 premieres January 5 at 8pm on ABC.
