A hologram Flash kept the peace in Central City for a time, but the situation turned dire when Zoom came to town on The Flash Season 2 Episode 20, “Rupture.” Barry was faced with the difficult decision of whether or not to attempt to get his speed back to face Zoom. And Cisco came face-to-face with Reverb’s brother, Rupture.
It was an intense hour with difficult decisions all around. Check out the best lines and exchanges from “Rupture.”
The Flash Recap: What Happens When Team Flash Creates Another Particle Accelerator Explosion? >>>
“All right, Cisco. This is where all those countless hours gaming in your basement are about to pay off. Fingers don’t fail me now. Leeeroooy!!!”
– Cisco
“I think a better idea then playing “Hoodlums and Holograms,” would be to rebuild the particle accelerator to get Barry’s speed back.”
– Wells
Barry: “Sure is a pretty drive up here.”
Henry: “It is that. I can’t help but wonder why a speedster needs a car.”
Barry: “Because I am no longer a speedster.”
Cisco: “It looks like the Vacuum.”
Jesse: “Uh, what’s the Vacumm?”
Cisco: “No Fringe on Earth-2. Noted.”
“Well, I’m sure there’s something out there that’ll satisfy your need for speed and helping people, but, until then, you should stick with engineering. It’s much safer.”
– Joe
“Tell everyone, that this city is mine. Anyone who disobeys me will meet their end.”
– Zoom
“I know that you care about me, each of you, in your own way, and you all have your own point of view on this, but this decision is mine. I have to make it on my own.”
– Barry
“Hello, Vibe.”
– Rupture
Cisco: “Simmer down, Reaper. We got no beef with you.”
Rupture: “Maybe not, but I’ve got a beef with you, Vibe.”
Rupture: “You killed my brother, so, now, you die.”
Cisco: “Oh, my God. You are Princess Bride-ing me right now! You must have me mixed up with somebody else, Inigo.”
“… ’cause dude wants me dead. We got to do something.”
– Cisco
“Barry, you’ve always had someone to come home to. Me.”
– Iris
Caitlin: “Is that why you change your voice, so that everyone will be afraid of you?”
Zoom: “As you once said, ‘I’m nothing but a monster.'”
“I’ve made up my mind. We’re going to have to figure out how to do this without the Flash.”
– Barry
Cisco: “I have powers.”
Dante: “Powers? What? You’re like a metahuman?”
“There is no more hope, there is no more Flash, there is no one left to protect your city … from me.”
– Zoom
Cisco: “I want things to change. You’re my brother.”
Dante: “Okay. Okay.”
“Let’s do it. I want to do it.”
– Barry
Wells: “Well, Ramon, you have the wand?”
Cisco: “The one I made for Mark Mardon?”
Wells: “No, the one you built for the Harry Potter convention. Yes, of course, the one you built for Mardon.”
Cisco: “How do you know about the Harry Potter convention?”
Wells: “Get the wand. Get on the roof.”
“Barry, whatever happens, it will never change the way that I feel about you.”
– Iris
Henry: “Son, you don’t have to do this if you don’t want to.”
Barry: “Being the Flash, that’s the best version of me. If I don’t have my speed, I’ll never be that person anymore. I have to do this.”
“You thought you could give The Flash his speed back? Well done. You killed him instead.”
– Zoom
