For eight and a half hours on Sunday, two of the Big Brother 14 HGs left the house. Who was it and where did they go? Keep reading to find out.
SPOILER WARNING: This article contains Big Brother 14 spoilers.
Shane won the Power of Veto this week, and as part of it and got to pick one other HG to take with him on a trip outside the house. He chose Danielle.
They got to attend the Kellogg’s Tour of Gymnastics Champions where they met members of the gold medal winning U.S. Women’s Gymnastics team, including McKayla “Not Impressed” Maroney. They also brought back autographed boxes of Corn Flakes signed by the Fierce 5.
The funny part is that, for the HGs on Big Brother 14, these people mean nothing to them because they never got to see the Olympics (though Julie Chen did inform them that the U.S. won the medal count).
The trip outside was a nice getaway for Shane and Danielle that should fill some more time in Wednesday’s episode. However, for the live feeds it meant Jenn, Ian and Dan were all alone in the house for most of Sunday, which was pretty boring.
It certainly doesn’t affect the game. Shane will still save himself, Danielle will almost certainly go up as a replacement nominee and Jenn will get evicted.
It was a way to fill some time for an episode and try and capture some of that Olympics momentum (though since it’s been nearly a month since they ended, Olympic Fever isn’t exactly a thing anymore).
Are you excited to see if McKayla Maroney was not impressed with Shane and Danielle?
