CBS has finally revealed the twist for the upcoming season of Big Brother 15. Or should I say, twists.
The first twist, as I predicted based on the house tour Julie Chen gave, is that the HoH will nominate THREE houseguests for eviction instead of the usual two. Sadly, no further details are given on how this process will work.
In the second twist, every week America will vote for the MVP, the person they think is playing the best game. That player will be given some type of reward, possibly affecting the game, but we won’t find out what that means until the season premiere.
This twist sounds slightly less interesting. CBS says that it will make people less likely to be floaters because they will be forced to try and make moves in order to get America’s vote. The problem is that there’s no guarantee America will actually vote for the best game player. It’s entirely possible America will find a favorite, regardless of strategies, and just keep voting for them all season.
I hope CBS has a way to avoid this, because if one HG gets voted as the MVP every single week, it could get pretty annoying.
Fans will have to wait until the Big Brother 15 premiere on Wednesday, June 26 at 8pm to get more information on the twists. The show also airs Sundays at 8pm and Tuesdays at 9pm.
Voting for the first MVP will begin Thursday, June 20 after CBS officially announces the cast of Big Brother 15. This sets a bad precedent since the first MVP will obviously NOT be based on game play at all and just on whoever people randomly decide to like the best.
