The Power of Veto has been used eight out of nine times on Big Brother 16. Is the 10th time another opportunity to backdoor someone?

SPOILER WARNING: This article contains Big Brother 16 spoilers.

Cody won the Power of Veto.

He did not use it.

So Donny and Nicole are still on the block and Donny is almost certainly going to be evicted, just like with Zach last week and Nicole the week before. The decision has already been made and even Derrick has informed Donny that it’s not looking good.

This week is every bit as predictable as we knew it would be as soon as Cody won the HoH. There’s really no hope for saving Donny and Nicole’s only hope is to pray that these Bomb Squad members get ready to turn on each other next week.

But there’s already a lot of plotting and paranoia about next week. Derrick is trying to turn Cody and Caleb against Christine for the future, but they’re also getting worried that Christine and Frankie could work with Caleb and go after the Hitmen. But they’re still committed to taking out Donny and Nicole in the next two weeks, so I’m starting to think the Bomb Squad cannibalism is going to be delayed even longer and rather anticlimactic.

FUN FACTS

-This is the third time both Donny and Nicole have been eligible for eviction this season. Caleb and Cody have each been eligible once while none of the other four HGs have ever been eligible for eviction. This will be the first time ever that the majority of people in the Top 7 reached that point without ever being eligible for eviction.

-This will be Victoria’s 10th time in a row casting a vote for eviction. She is the only person to ever cast votes in all of the first 10 evictions, and she ties the all-time record for most consecutive votes, also held by season 15’s McCrae Olson.

-Victoria will be only the fifth ever HG to cast at least 10 votes in a single season. The others are season 6’s Ivette Corredero as well as GinaMarie Zimmerman, McCrae Olson and Andy Herren from season 15. Andy holes the all-time record, casting 12 votes last year.

-Derrick has now survived 10 whole sets of nominations without ever being put on the block. The only other HGs to do that are Danielle Reyes and Jason Guy from season 3 and April Lewis from season 6.

-Derrick will now last at least 71 days in the house without ever being nominated, since the earliest he can be put on the block is Friday. Season 3’s Danielle and Jason are the only people to last longer, not receiving their first nominations until day 78.

-Derrick will be the 20th HG to reach the Top 7 without ever being nominated. The only winners on that list are season 5’s Drew Daniel and season 14’s Ian Terry.
