Dick Donato, also known as Evel Dick, will soon invade our TV screens. Following his stint on Big Brother, where he was crowned the eighth season winner, the 45-year-old reality TV star has been appearing on TV but only occasionally since he doesn’t really have a regular gig. But that might change in the near future.
After Big Brother, it seems that Dick never lost his fan following. He was nominated and won the Realitini for Favorite Reality Performer in the Fox Reality Really Awards for 2007 against Len Goodman, New York, Sanjaya Malakar, comedian Ant, and Christopher Knight and Adrianne Curry. He was also nominated for Best Winner, Favorite Villain, Favorite Potty Mouth, and Best Fight for his confrontation with Jen Johnson.
Nothing is official yet but Evel Dick is negotiating with several networks in hopes that his pilot would get to air on TV. With a similar premise of Kitchen Nightmares, the show will follow Evel Dick as he goes bar and club hopping across the country instead of restaurants.
“The pilot I shot EvelDick Behind Bars has been received very well by the industry people involved and that will be pitching the show to the networks. Fifteen meetings with fifteen different networks have been scheduled over the next month and everyone is excited about the show. And the actors strike couldn’t have come at a better time, now they will be looking for more reality based shows for their schedules,” the Big Brother winner wrote on his MySpace blog.
“If you are behind on all of this, the show is like Kitchen Nightmares, but it will be me and not Chef Ramsey, and it will be in bars and clubs across the country, not in restaurants. The stars and planets are aligning and it seems as I am on the way to having my own show soon…I could be pissing you off on TV again soon,” he added.
