We are, alas, coming down to the final episodes of this season of Bones. Several season-long plotlines still remain in need of resolution — most notably the sniper and the Angela/Hodgins baby. Speculation is running high about how these will be resolved. Fortunately, we have a couple of news bits that may help to answer some burning questions.
Emily Deschanel‘s Pregnancy
Let’s get this one out of the way first. As reported earlier, Bones star Emily Deschanel is pregnant with her first baby. Because TV viewers are selfish and uncaring, our most pressing concern is how the pregnancy will affect Bones.
The short answer is, it won’t — at least not for now. According to a report from TVLine, none of the season 6 plots will deal with the real-life pregnancy. Apologies to those who hoped for an immediate resumption of Brennan-Booth baby talk.
It’s possible that Bones will work in/around the pregnancy at the beginning of season 7. That will, of course, depend greatly on the timing of the baby’s arrival (no word on that yet) and the creative direction established by the final spring episodes.
Forget Real Pregnancies, What About Angela and Hodgins’ Baby?
At this point, we don’t have long to wait for what might just be the weirdest, nerdiest baby ever. The Hodgins/Montenegro bundle of joy is due to arrive for the finale. Will the baby be OK? Will there be any more pregnancy or birth scares? It’s hard to say. But the baby is coming!
Bowling for Survival
Along with the continuing sniper plot, we have had the worry of who might get shot before Broadsky is brought to justice. Those people most worried about Max Keenan can possibly breathe a sigh of relief: Max will be around for the season finale.
EW.com reports that Max will not only be alive but also engaging in some bowling in the final episode of the season. He will go up against Booth and Brennan, with bowling expertise still an unknown.
Of course, this presupposes that Booth will deal with his sniper nemesis before the finale. If he doesn’t, then all bets are off.
