According to the press release, the new spin-off series will feature the wives of NBA player Eric Snow and NFL linebacker Ed Hartwell, along with three others that the cable network assures us are mainstays in Atlanta’s busy social scene. These include the following:
DeShawn Snow – The wife of Cleveland Cavaliers guard Eric Snow and mother of three. She Runs a non-profit foundation and sits on the boards of three other local charities.
Kim Zolciak – A single mother of two who’s trying to kick-off a career in country music.
Lisa Wu Hartwell- The wife of Oakland Raider Ed Hartwell and real-estate company owner and jewelry designer, among other things. She and her husband have three kids.
NeNe Leakes – A mother of two with her husband, a real-estate investor, and founder of an organization to raise awareness of domestic violence. She also aspires to open a boutique hotel in the feature.
Sheree Whitfield – A single mom and former boutique owner who’s now concentrating on launching a clothing line.
“Bravo’s Real Housewives franchise has resonated with our viewers across the country and we think they will be equally fascinated by the lavish lifestyles and personalities of these Atlanta wives,” Bravo’s general manager Frances Berwick Berwick said in a statement. “They let us peek inside their exclusive, affluent community and see how they live their often dramatic lives and manage families and careers. There is truly never a dull day for them.”
Fans can catch a 30-minute preview of The Real Housewives of Atlanta at midnight on July 30. Meanwhile, a premiere date of the full series hasn’t been set.
