Over the weekend, BuddyTV attended the Emerald City ComiCon in Seattle, Washington. The flood gates opened and comic fans from all around the Great Northwest congregated at the Washington State Convention Center in downtown Seattle. We talked to all sorts of TV fans, attended panels with the stars and sat down for a one-on-one interview with one of the convention’s big draws, Jamie Bamber from Battlestar Galactica.
If you ever had any doubt that Star Wars is still popular, you just need to walk around the convention floor. I took a little walk, catching a gander at our surroundings, and took a few pics. Here’s one with a couple of uppity storm troopers.
Then on Sunday, fellow BuddyTV writer Debbie Chang took over and had her own Storm Trooper encounter..
During the ComiCon, we got to interact with many TV fans, mostly fanatics for great sci-fi television. They loved Battlestar Galactica, Doctor Who, Lost, Heroes, Teramintor: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, etc. Aside from gawking at the many costumed fans (Storm Troopers galore, Boba Fetts, Linc and Gannon from The Legend of Zelda, Rogue and Gambit), BuddyTV sat down for an exclusive interview with BSG’s Jamie Bamber and sat in on a panel discussion with Buffy and Dexter star Julie Ben.
On Saturday, BuddyTV senior writer Oscar Dahl set out to chronicle the experience of the Emerald City ComiCon. Please watch and enjoy, whether you attended the event or simply wish you had.
