CBS is sticking with sitcoms produced by Chuck Lorre. The network has officially renewed two shows produced by Lorre for next season, Mom and Mike and Molly.
In addition to The Big Bang Theory (which was already renewed for two more seasons), this keeps three Chuck Lorre-produced shows on CBS, down one due to the current series finale of Two and a Half Men.
UPDATE: One day after these two renewals, CBS also picked up 2 Broke Girls for the 2015-2016 season. The renewal means 2 Broke Girls will enter season 5 and reach its 100th episode.
Mom will enter season 3 while Mike and Molly is headed into season 6. Both comedies are doing very well, with Mike and Molly averaging over 9 million viewers on Mondays while Mom is doing slightly better on Thursdays. They are also both Emmy-winning shows, with Mike and Molly‘s Melissa McCarthy and Mom‘s Allison Janney both receiving awards over the past five years.
Mom, Mike and Molly and 2 Broke Girls join The Big Bang Theory, NCIS: New Orleans, Scorpion and Madam Secretary as the networks only shows officially renewed for next season so far.
2 Broke Girls airs Mondays at 8pm, Mike and Molly airs Mondays at 8:30pm and Mom airs Thursdays at 9:30pm.
