The Mentalist is coming to an end. CBS announced that the show’s upcoming seventh season will be its last, and it will premiere right after Thanksgiving. In addition, CBS has set several other winter premieres and finales.
The Mentalist will premiere Sunday, November 30 at 9pm, taking over for The Good Wife, which airs its fall finale the previous week. The show will run on Sundays for five weeks in December, but move to Wednesdays at 8pm starting January 7. That will lead to a two-hour series finale for The Mentalist on February 18.
The Good Wife will airs its fall finale Sunday, November 23 at 9pm while Madam Secretary will have its midseason finale on November 30 at 8pm. Both shows will return in 2015 on January 4.
On the reality front, Undercover Boss will return on Sunday, December 14 at 8pm. It will air for three Sundays in a row before moving to its regular time slot, Fridays at 8pm, on January 2.
In addition, Survivor and The Amazing Race will get expanded finales and premieres. Survivor‘s current season will end on Wednesday, December 17 with the standard two-hour finale followed by an hour-long reunion special. The Amazing Race will conclude its 25th season two days later on Friday, December 19 at 8pm.
Both reality competitions will return in the spring on Wednesday, February 25 for an all-night event. Survivor‘s landmark 30th season will run for 90 minutes starting at 8pm, followed by the 90-minute premiere of The Amazing Race season 26 at 9:30pm. The Amazing Race will then move back to Fridays at 8pm on February 27.
