One Tree Hill may be ending in April, but its stars may live on next season. A number of the show’s top actors have been cast in pilots for the fall season, including original leading man Chad Michael Murray. Current stars Sophia Bush, Austin Nichols and Robert Buckley have also booked future gigs.
Murray has landed a role in ABC’s Scruples, a primetime soap set in 1970s Beverly Hills. He will play a former fashion photographer who now works as a creative director. The show also stars Claire Forlani and Gary Cole.
Bush will play the girlfriend of one of the main characters in a new CBS comedy, Partners, about two best friends and architects, one gay and one straight. Bush’s boyfriend on the show will be played by David Krumholtz.. Partners also stars Ugly Betty‘s Michael Urie as the gay architect and Chuck‘s Brandon Routh as his boyfriend.
Buckley has joined the supernatural drama 666 Park Avenue on ABC about an old apartment building in New York City. He will play one of the tenants, a photographer. The show also stars Brothers and Sisters‘ Dave Annable and Grey’s Anatomy‘s Rachael Taylor as the new managers of the building. Lost‘s Terry O’Quinn will play the owner of the building and Desperate Housewives star Vanessa Williams will play O’Quinn’s wife.
Finally Nichols has landed a role in the Showtime series Ray Donovan about a man (played by Live Schreiber) who solves problems for Hollywood’s elite. Nichols will plays a famous movie star who enlists Donovan’s help. The show also stars Jon Voigt and Elliott Gould.
The series finale of One Tree Hill airs Wednesday, April 4 at 8pm on the CW.
