The upcoming final season of One Tree Hill is sure to be one fans can’t miss, and now it’s even better. According to TVLine, Chad Michael Murray will return for season 9 as Lucas Scott.
Sadly, Luca’s One Tree Hill wife Peyton (White Collar’s Hilarie Burton) won’t be joining him, but one is better than none. The return of Lucas seems like a necessity for the show’s last season since he was the heart and soul of One Tree Hill for the first six seasons. The last time we saw him, he rode off with wife Peyton and daughter Sawyer, starting their “happily ever after” life together.
One Tree Hill season 9 will last for just 13 episodes and won’t return until mid-season. In addition to Murray, the final season will also bring back Tyler Hilton as Chris Keller and Paul Johansson as Dan Scott, both as series regulars. Stephen Colletti’s girlfriend Chelsea Kane will also guest star in an upcoming episode.
