As reported previously, actor Frankie Muniz will be gracing the third season of Criminal Minds, the series that follows the adventures of a team of profilers from the FBI’s Behavioral Analysis Unit as they analyze criminals’ behavior before they strike again. Tonight, the 21-year-old Emmy Award and Golden Globe Award nominated actor turned full time Formula Atlantic driver will finally revert to the small screen as he guest stars in the episode “True Night.”
Read on to find out what’s in store for the 10th episode of the third season of Criminal Minds.
Warning: May contain spoilers.
In “True Night,” Muniz, best known for his exposure on Malcolm in the Middle, will play the role of Jonny McHale, a famous comic book artist who becomes involved in the search for a serial killer in Los Angeles. Though his role is said to be instrumental in the hunt for a serial killer, it wasn’t made clear whether or not his involvement will be seen in a positive light.
Aside from joining the main cast, which consist of Thomas Gibson (Special Agent Aaron Hotchner), Joe Mantegna (David Rossi), Paget Brewster (Emily Prentiss), Shemar Moore (Derek Morgan), Matthew Gray Gubler (Dr. Spencer Reid), AJ Cook (Jennifer “J.J.” Jareau), and Kirsten Vangsness (Penelope Garcia), Muniz will also be reuniting with actress Ellen Hollman, who previously guest starred and made her television debut on Malcolm in the Middle.
Hollman, who is currently working on two big screen projects, Lie To Me, with Brandon Routh (Superman Returns) and Asylum with Sarah Roemer (Disturbia), set to air in 2008, will be playing the girlfriend of Muniz’s character named Vickie. She’ll be featured in a flashback with Jonny in a scene where the couple is approached by several menacing figures, which leads to an unfortunate incident.
Criminal Minds airs tonight at 9pm ET/PT on CBS.
