After mounting a Seinfeld reunion in season 7, Curb Your Enthusiasm returns to HBO Sunday, July 10 for season 8, hoping to top that. It’s no easy feat, but if anyone can do it, Larry David can.
As proof, HBO released some behind-the-scenes footage of season 8, and Curb Your Enthusiasm is definitely trying something new by moving to New York City for several episodes. The change of scenery also comes with some very recognizable guest stars, from Michael J. Fox and Ricky Gervais, to Michael McKean and Ana Gasteyer, to the return of one of Larry’s many nemeses, Rosie O’Donnell.
Even though season 7 appeared to end with Larry and Cheryl getting back together after the Seinfeld reunion, there’s little doubt that Larry David is still the same curmudgeon who is willing to fight back against anyone if he feels he’s been wronged, regardless of who they are.
Need proof? The clip opens with Larry yelling at a group of girl scouts and also includes Larry arguing with Michael J. Fox, suspecting that Fox is merely using his Parkinson’s as an excuse for why he bumped into Larry. It takes a very funny man to be able to get away with that kind of comedy, but David is the one who can. Check out the full preview.
