There’s a lot of CW casting tidbits and other news going around, so here’s a quick summary of the bits on all your favorite shows.
Hilarie Burton Says No to Tree Hill Reunion
During a conference call talking about her upcoming return to USA’s White Collar, Burton was asked about the possibility of her returning to One Tree Hill, which she starred on for five seasons as Peyton Sawyer (later Peyton Scott). Sadly for fans, she has no intention of returning. She said that while she has “a fondness for that part of my life” and that she stays in contact with the people she met on the show, her personal life doesn’t fit with flying across country to be on the show and she doesn’t have the time for it anymore. So don’t expect to see Peyton at Brooke’s upcoming wedding.
Smallville Hero Goes Gay on 90210
Prepare to see two former male models kissing. According to TVLine, 90210‘s recently gay Teddy (Trevor Donovan) is getting another potential hookup in the form of a former private school classmate he meets on Spring Break named Tripp, to be played by Smallville‘s Aquaman, Alan Ritchson. To refresh your memory, here’s Ritchson in his recent return to Smallville:
Anders Returns to Vampire Diaries
There’s going to be a family reunion on The Vampire Diaries. On the February 3 episode, “Daddy Issues,” David Anders returns as Uncle John, aka Elena’s biological father. The last time we saw him he left Mystic Falls after being threatened by Stefan for opposing the vampire’s relationship with Elena. The return promises to be unpleasant.
Terminator Star on Tree Hill
According to TVLine, Leven Rambin, who played John Connor’s girlfriend Riley on Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, will have a recurring role at the end of this season of One Tree Hill. Scheduled to first appear in the 19th episode, Rambin will play a young woman Brooke meets while she’s going through the adoption process. If I had to guess, I’d say we could be looking at a potential surrogate mother for Brooke and Julian to have a baby.
