Ah, the dreaded double elimination! That’s what we get after two weeks of non-elimination complacency on Dancing with the Stars: All-Stars. But, considering the nearly ubiquitous high scores achieved over the past two weeks, who could actually go? We make our predictions for the DWTS week 8 eliminations here.
Most Likely to Be Eliminated
Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy (score = 79)
If there was one couple that stumbled over the past two weeks, this was it. Especially in her last performance — the trio dance — Kirstie showed that her enthusiasm and performance skills just aren’t enough anymore.
Kelly Monaco and Val Chmerkovskiy (score = 92.5)
Kelly’s performances run hot and cold, meaning there is no guarantee she will get votes. Plus, that kind of weird flirtation with Val might be off-putting to some.
Emmitt Smith and Cheryl Burke (score = 92.5)
Although he started out the competition strongly, Emmitt has struggled a bit in the past few weeks. He’s lovable, but will that be enough when the judges keep giving negative criticism?
Apolo Anton Ohno and Karina Smirnoff (score = 91.5)
Rarely on top and occasionally scoring low, this couple should worry. Plus, neither member of the pair has the charisma to beat some of the competition.
Should Be Eliminated
Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy
Don’t get me wrong — I love Kirstie Alley. But her time is definitely up on this season.
Emmitt Smith and Cheryl Burke
I don’t know that I really believe this one, but I just do not feel that Emmitt is trying as hard as the others. Although they did say he practiced more than anyone last week…
Should Be Worried
Gilles Marini and Peta Murgatroyd (score = 92)
Gilles’ charm and his still-strong scores should be helpful, but in this competition, his drops in the rankings are worrisome.
Shawn Johnson and Derek Hough (score = 93.5)
Shawn has been on fire for the past few weeks. Plus, her only low score was in that crowd-pleasing samba trio. She is probably safe, but you never know when Len’s predictions will come true.
Melissa Rycroft and Tony Dovolani (score = 99)
As Sabrina Bryan unfortunately showed in the last elimination, perfect scores are no guarantee of safety in this season. Melissa still suffers from being one of the least-known celebrities. Do people like her enough to vote, even with those high scores?
Probably Safe… For Now
No one. At this point, no one is safe. Sorry guys!
