For a while it seemed like the entire cast of Dancing with the Stars had come down with a case of wedding fever. Peta and Maks had a baby and got married. Julianne also tied the knot, as did co-host Erin Andrews. Emma and Sasha got engaged on the show and Carrie Ann Inaba similarly got a ring on her finger. Now one of those engagements has been broken off.
People reports that Carrie Ann has quietly called off her wedding to fiance and General Hospital star Robb Derringer.
What Drew Scott Misses Most Since Starting Dancing with the Stars Rehearsals>>> While the couple seemed happy in August and was moving forward with plans to get married in Hawaii, those plans have since been called off. The source that broke the news to People didn’t give a reason why Carrie Ann and Robb called it off but Carrie has been seen out and about without her engagement ring.
Carrie Ann recently attended an event in Hawaii hosted by Olympic skater (and former Dancing with the Stars contestant) Kristi Yamaguchi. Carrie Ann didn’t come to the event with Robb but instead arrived with her mother as her “date.”
Carrie Ann posted a picture with her mother and herself on Instagram, with the hashtag “Family First.”

There were signs and rumors that the engagement was ending before the Hawaii trip, however. On September 7, Carrie Ann posted a picture of a cryptic and sad quote on her Instagram. The quote reads, “Just when I think I’ve learned the way to live, life changes.” The picture was captioned with a broken heart emoji.

As previously reported, Carrie Ann got engaged to the General Hospital actor after a relatively short courtship late last year. The engagment happened privately on a beach which was opposed to Carrie Ann’s last proposal to accountant Jesse Sloan, which occurred on Live! with Regis and Kelly in 2011. The engagement to Sloan similarly ended in pre-nuptial break-up.
So far, neither Carrie Ann or Robb has commented publicly on their break-up.
