Probably not a shock, considering recent Dancing with the Stars events, but Bristol Palin is the focus of just about every DWTS news story we’ve got right now.
And you thought you were mad about Bristol?
Trust me, you’ve got nothing on Steven Cowan of Dane County, Wisconsin.
Authorities claim that Cowan became enraged while watching Bristol Palin perform on Monday’s Dancing with the Stars — to the point where he grabbed a shotgun. The angry man then turned his weapon on the poor, innocent TV, blasting it (and the image of Bristol, presumably) to smithereens.
Cowan then turned the gun on his wife. No word as to why, but I wouldn’t be shocked if she had complained about the television. Cowan’s wife escaped, and the police arrived on the scene. The 67-year-old man refused to exit his house, even when a SWAT team had it surrounded.
Police were finally able to talk Cowan out of the house on Tuesday morning. He was then arrested and charged with second-degree reckless endangerment.
While some may claim that Bristol is a valid excuse to murder appliances, authorities point out that Cowan has a history of bipolar disorder. That’s probably a major factor.
Bristol says Maks doesn’t like her.
No, not just because of the elimination.
On Monday, In Touch ran a story in which Bristol Palin complained that dancing pro (and Brandy’s partner) Maksim Chmerkovskiy personally disliked her. The article quotes Bristol as saying: “Maks does not like me. He thinks I don’t deserve to be here, because I’m not the best dancer.”
The response from Maks? He says it isn’t so. According to a report from Zap2It, Maks claims, “I never said that. I want people to understand that I’m just here as a dancer. That’s all I am.”
And his rebuttal was after Bristol and Mark beat out Brandy and Maks for a place in the Dancing with the Stars finals. So it may actually be true.
Family isn’t always an asset.
According to a report from TMZ, Bristol’s little sister Willow has been saying some rather offensive things on Facebook. And Bristol herself was there to back up her sibling’s position.
A classmate of the younger Palin posted on Facebook that “Sarah Palin’s Alaska, is failing so hard right now.” Having seen the criticism of her mother’s new TLC show, Willow responded with a couple of Facebook wall posts.
In the first post, Willow wrote: “Haha your so gay. I have no idea who you are, But what I’ve seen pictures of, your disgusting… My sister had a kid and is still hot.”
Offensive enough, to be sure, but Willow wasn’t done. The second wall post? “Tre [the boy’s name] stfu. Your such a f****t.”
Ah, teenagers! Bristol waded into the fray a short time later, posting on Tre’s wall to say, “You’re running your mouth just to talk s**t.”
At least Bristol has a firmer grasp of the you’re/your conundrum than her sister. The rest of it? There is little to say and much over which to sigh.
