The end is one week away and for one couple on Dancing with the Stars, the road ends just short of the finale. Four couples will advance to the finale where they will get to perform their Freestyles and compete for the Mirror Ball Trophy.
DWTS Spoilers: Trio Dance Partners Revealed>>>
Last week saw two couples score absolute perfection in both routines, while the other three pairs are all lumped together at the bottom. Will we finally get a shocking elimination on Dancing with the Stars season 23, or will it be business as usual?
THE LEADERBOARD
80: Jana Kramer, Laurie Hernandez
74: Calvin Johnson, Terra Jole
73: James Hinchcliffe
Laurie and Val: With two perfect scores and all of the momentum rushing back to their side, these two have regained their status as the frontrunners and should easily make their way into the finale.
Jana and Gleb: I’m still a little surprised these two haven’t been eliminated yet in a shocking result. But with two perfect scores and an emotional night, they should be fine. The only problem is that the three people below her seem to be fan favorites.
James and Sharna: I know he’s at the bottom of the leaderboard, but I can’t imagine someone who the judges have called the best male star in the show’s history WON’T make the finale. And all of the drama with Sharna has only given him more screentime.
Calvin and Lindsay: An NFL player hasn’t made the finale in the past six seasons, though there haven’t been many of them. Calvin is definitely charming and fun to watch, especially when he’s dressed as a giant cat, but we’re reaching the point where everyone is so close in popularity and scores that it could be his time.
Terra and Sasha: She’s definitely unique and has a lot of support, but is it more than James and Calvin? Out of all the remaining stars, she’s received the lowest scores from the judges and she’s the only one left without a perfect score. All of those signs point to her coming just a little short of the finale.
MY PREDICTION
I predict that Terra Jole and Sasha Farber will be eliminated. They had a good run, but when Laurie and Jana have perfect scores, it’s hard for me to see Terra being more popular than James or Calvin. Those two have been consistently great or improved while Terra has been a little more up and down.
