The new cast of Dancing with the Stars will be announced Tuesday, February 28 during Good Morning America on ABC, but today TMZ has learned the identities of three of the stars who will be dancing with this.
According to TMZ, Jack Wagner, Melissa Gilbert and Sherri Shepherd will all be dancing for your votes in season 14 of Dancing with the Stars.
If you’re anything like me, you’re first response is: Who? Despite being a TV critic, I’m only 30 and not ashamed to admit that I wasn’t sure who those first two people were when I first heard the news. Hopefully the other “stars” this season will be bigger and better.
Jack Wagner is a former star of Melrose Place who also appears on the soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful. Melissa Gilbert played Laura Ingalls on Little House on the Prairie, which ended 30 years ago. Sherri Shepherd is a co-host of The View and she also plays Tracy Jordan’s wife on 30 Rock.

Aside from the celebrities, 10 professionals have already confirmed that they will be a part of season 14, including Derek Hough, Mark Ballas, Cheryl Burke, Kum Johnson, Anna Trebunskaya, Tony Dovolani, Peta Murgtroyd, Tristan McManus, Cheslie Hightower and returning champion Karina Smirnoff.
This is good news for Peta and Tristan, who were new to the ballroom last season and were apparently good enough to stick around. It also marks the return of Chelsie, who took last season off. This will be Cheryl and Tony’s 13th consecutive season as professional dancers on the show.
What do you think of the first three celebrities for Dancing with the Stars season 14? Are they enough to make you want to watch, or will you need some better names to give it a chance?
