The semifinals of Dancing with the Stars season 20 are here as the four remaining couples each try to reach the finale. Who will get the opportunity to dazzle fans with a Freestyle performance?
For the semifinals, each of the four remaining couples will perform twice and they will each get one of the judges as a coach. Rumer Willis will take on an Argentine Tango, Noah Galloway will be doing a Viennese Waltz and Riker Lynch will get to show off his moves with a Contemporary routine. We’ll also see a Quickstep and a Paso Doble.
Here’s the breakdown for which judge will coach each team:
-Len Goodman will coach Nastia Liukin and Derek Hough (or Sasha Farber)
Julianne Hough will coach her cousin Riker Lynch and Allison Holker
-Bruno Tonioli will coach Rumer Willis and Val Chmerkovskiy
-Carrie Ann Inaba will coach Noah Galloway and Sharna Burgess
Once again there will be no elimination on Monday’s performance show. Instead, one couple will go home on Tuesday’s results show. The results show will also feature a routine dedicated to the women of the U.S. military, a performance by Flo Rida and a jazz routine set to “Gotta Be Me,” the first single from the new Disney Channel Original Movie Teen Beach 2, a sequel to Teen Beach Movie. Teen Beach 2 stars Ross Lynch, Riker’s brother.
It should be an intense night of competition. The Chmerkovskiys are masters of the Tango, so Rumer could very easily get another perfect score. And after his dazzling Jazz routine, Riker getting Contemporary will really suit his strengths.
Watch the Dancing with the Stars season 20 semifinals Monday, May 11 at 8pm on ABC followed by the results show on Tuesday, May 12 at 8pm.
