It’s time for week 2 of Dancing with the Stars, and the crazy dancing train shows no sign of slowing. Even with last week’s elimination of Metta World Peace (formerly Ron Artest), we still have 11 celebrities and their partners vying for a shot at the Mirror Ball. New dances and new guest performers arriving in week 2 will keep things interesting on the ballroom floor.
What can we expect?

Two New Dances
Having mastered (or not) the Viennese waltz or the cha cha last week, each of the DWTS couples now must move on to one of two fast-moving dances: the jive or the quickstep. The styles will change drastically, which could mean massive shifts on the Dancing with the Stars leaderboard (see below for the current standings).
Which stars have which dances?
- Carson and Anna: Quickstep
- Chaz and Lacey: Quickstep
- Chynna and Tony: Jive
- David and Kym: Jive
- Elisabetta and Val: Quickstep
- Hope and Maks: Jive
- J.R. and Karina: Jive
- Kristin and Mark: Quickstep
- Nancy and Tristan: Quickstep
- Ricki and Derek: Jive
- Rob and Cheryl: Jive
New Guest Acts
Of course, it’s not just going to be dancing on week 2 of Dancing with the Stars. That would be too easy. There will also be a pair of new musical acts performing on this Tuesday’s Dancing with the Stars: The Results Show.
Demi Lovato will be on hand to perform her single, “Skyscraper” off her latest album, “Unbroken.” Lovato’s performance will also feature the very welcome dancing return of professionals Chelsie Hightower and Dmitry Chaplin.
The other musical act of the week will be the group, The Script, a band out of Ireland. Their specific musical choices have not been announced, but it’s probably a safe bet that we’ll hear their Adult Pop hit “Breakeven” during the appearance.
