Justin Bieber! Boyz II Men! Carson Kressley! Oh, and that little elimination thing. That’s right — it’s time for Dancing with the Stars: The Results Show.
After an oftentimes scary night of performances on Halloween, one of the remaining six DWTS competitors must take his or her final bow. Can Nancy Grace survive that hoedown-jive? Was J.R. Martinez’s first misstep forgiven? Are viewers tired of Hope and Maks bickering?
All questions will be answered tonight.
But before there can be answers, there must be vague and speculative predictions! That’s where the BuddyTV Readers’ Poll comes in. According to that oh-so-scientific survey, 64 percent of readers think that Nancy Grace and Tristan MacManus are the most likely pair to be eliminated in week 7. A sizable minority of 20 percent thought that Hope Solo and Maksim Chmerkovskiy were more likely elimination choices, while the other dancers only got a few votes apiece.
Is this the outcome to be expected? Here is the week 7 leader board:
- Ricki Lake and Derek Hough: 53 points
- Rob Kardashian and Cheryl Burke: 51 points
- Hope Solo and Maksim Chmerkovskiy: 50 points
- J.R. Martinez and Karina Smirnoff: 48 points
- David Arquette and Kym Johnson: 47 points
- Nancy Grace and Tristan MacManus: 44 points
Those group dances certainly made a difference, didn’t they?
So let’s find out what happened!
I’m officially old — Justin Bieber is performing and I do not see the appeal. At all. I guess he sings OK. And kind of dances. There are also many bright and flashy lights.
I honestly have a hard time believing that Len Goodman is into this performance.
Oh well. It’s not like pre-teen heartthrobs have ever made sense to anyone over the age of 15. It’s actually comforting to realize that certain things will always stay the same.
Justin Bieber is over now. There is fire coming from where the band usually sits. Were they sacrifices on the altar of teen fandom?
Anyway, screw Justin Bieber — Carson Kressley is back! He was back yesterday anyway, chatting with people in the line and in the ballroom. Apparently Jason Biggs was there too. Why hasn’t Brooke Burke been replaced yet? Even Carson couldn’t remember her name.
Back to the dancing thing, Len requested an entire team as the encore: Team Paso Doble is back to do that creepy, dark dance again.
The dancing finished, it’s time for the first RESULTS of the evening.
First up are Rob and Cheryl, Nancy and Tristan.
Nancy Grace and Tristan MacManus are in the Bottom Two — and obviously therefore in jeopardy.
But…
Rob Kardashian and Cheryl Burke are safe!!!
We’re at the inspirational part of the night now. Victoria Rose Viren, a teenage ballet dancer who survived a brain tumor and got back to dancing, is performing to the music of singer-songwriter Christina Perri. It’s very nice.
This is followed by a half-naked Derek Hough dancing with Allison Holker (of So You Think You Can Dance fame). It’s also very nice.
Time for the RESULTS to return! This time, the dancers facing the music are J.R and Karina, Ricki and Derek.
Of course, Ricki Lake and Derek Hough are safe!!!
Also,
J.R. Martinez and Karina Smirnoff are safe!!!
Not that J.R. heard that result.
Now, because Halloween is over and we can officially commence the Christmas season, Justin Bieber is back. With a Christmas carol. And with Boyz II Men. If you listen carefully to the words (especially the Fa-La-La chorus), you might even be able to tell that this is indeed holiday music. Otherwise, it sounds a lot like the last Justin Bieber song overlaid with some Boyz II Men stuff.
The Bieber being done, it’s time for more RESULTS. The final two to hear their fate are Hope and Maks, David and Kym.
Hope Solo and Maksim Chmerkovskiy are safe!!!
Which means that…
David Arquette and Kym Johnson remain in jeopardy, having fallen into the Bottom Two for the week.
Having no more Bieber to give us, Dancing with the Stars must get to the final results of the night. With Nancy and Tristan and David and Kym being the only ones left…
Nancy Grace and Tristan MacManus are safe!!!
Which means that David Arquette and Kym Johnson have been eliminated from Dancing with the Stars!
The audience (especially young Coco Arquette) did not like that. Alas, the popular competitors must meet their fates as well.
