Stephanie Pratt may be a new cast member on The Hills but she is certainly one of the most memorable. As Spencer’s sister and Heidi’s best friend, she made waves this season by befriending public enemy number one, Lauren. Today, she spoke to BuddyTV in an exclusive interview about the upcoming season finale of The Hills. If you’re expecting some dirty on Spencer and Heidi, you won’t find it here. Stephanie clammed up at the mere mention of their names. Instead, she dished on her friendship with Lauren, her role in the season finale, and life after The Hills.

Hey everybody, this is Gina from BuddyTV, and today I’m talking to Stephanie Pratt from The Hills. Hey Stephanie, how are you?
I’m good. How are you?
I’m good. Thanks so much for doing the interview. We’re really happy to be talking to you.
Oh, I’m so excited.
I was wondering if you had any reservations into going into being a more regular cast member on The Hills this season? Were you nervous about anything?
How it would affect my relationship with Spencer.
How has it affected your relationship with Spencer? You guys have certainly had your ups and downs so far this season.
I actually don’t really want to say anything about Spencer.
Okay, that’s fine. You and Lauren had a little bit of a blow out last season, now you guys are friends. What turned things around for you and made you change your mind about her?
I was out of town, and then I became really close with my brother’s girlfriend. They had this conflict with Lauren, and I was at that club, and they were really upset by her. You know, the fight. I yelled at her, and I felt really bad because that’s just not the person I am. The music was loud, and my adrenaline was there, I saw her with Brody, and I got really upset that Brody was there, because Brody was like a brother to me. Then when I saw her in class I was terrified, but I knew I couldn’t sit for nine weeks and not talk to her.
Brody told Lauren not to trust you, or to be careful of you. Why do you think he said that?
I don’t know. I actually saw him at the US Weekly party and I asked him. I was like, “Brody, you’ve known me forever. How can you say that?” And he was like, “I was just trying to create drama.”
How has it been being on The Hills? Are you happy that you’ve been a cast member this season?
Yes, definitely. It’s so much fun.
Are you being recognized when you’re out in public?
Not really, not too much. I was getting ice cream, and this one guy was like, “Stephanie!” That was fun.
How have things been with Heidi so far?
Um, I actually don’t want to talk about her either. I’m sorry.
Have you actually hung out with Audrina or Lo at all, besides Lauren?
Yes, I hung out with Lo when we went to the US Weekly party. She went with Lauren, and she’s really nice, and Audrina’s really nice, but I think there’s like some stuff going on. It’s confusing what’s going on with them.
Are you still friends with Lauren? Do you get to hang out with her?
Yeah I do. She’s not in town right now, but we have the finale party on Monday, and we were just talking about what we’re gonna wear. So we still talk.
Now I know last season Heidi and Spencer weren’t at the finale. Will they be there this year?
I’m not sure. I’ve heard that they will be there, and I’ve heard that they won’t be there.
Is there anything in the finale that involves you, and a storyline with you?
Yes. Heidi confides in me that she got a job promotion and might be moving to Vegas.
Are you still in school? Are you still enrolled?
Yeah, I have school every Tuesday and Wednesday.
And what are you studying?
Product development.
What’s your ultimate goal in life once you finish school and once everything moves on from The Hills? What’s your goal?
I have always wanted to design handbags. That is like the one thing that I’ve been obsessed with forever.
Is that something that you plan on doing when you’re young, in the next few years?
Actually, a couple of years ago I already started a book, and I already started designing purses, just drawing them. Then I interned for a company called GenART. Jen Egan, I think, is the president of it, and she saw them and she loved them, so she’s gonna hopefully introduce me to some people who can help get them made. But it’s expensive to start.
Oh, definitely. And GenART, I know a lot of contestants from Project Runway have been involved with that too, right?
Yeah, I know. GenART is so cool.
Do you have any regrets about being on The Hills? Would you do it again?
Yeah, I would definitely do it again. It’s just hard for my parents I think, because we live in such a small town. We grew up in the Palisades, so it’s like this small town between Malibu and Santa Monica, and everyone kind of knows each other. My mom will kind of get stopped a lot, and sometimes when Spencer and I are fighting she’ll be embarrassed. Sometimes I feel bad for them.
We can definitely expect to see you at the MTV finale party next week?
Yes, I’m actually looking for a dress right now.
