Tonight is the finale of The Pussycat Dolls Present: The Search for the Next Doll.
Will tonight’s finale surprise the fans? Who will it be? Chelsea Korka certainly has the voice talents, but is she up to the dancing without the strong dance background that the other two have? Melissa Reyes has the dance ability as well as strong vocals, and so does Asia Nitollano. Melissa seems concerned that her family wouldn’t approve of her becoming a sexy Pussycat Doll – will that hurt her chances? Would Asia be able to handle the Pussycat Dolls schedule while also being a single mother?
The CW’s official episode description says:
“The final three have proven they can sing and strut their stuff, but only one will get to be a full-fledged member of the group. One last catfight erupts as two of the girls get into a screaming match that goes all day. For their final showdown, the girls perform a song as a group, followed by solo performances. The judges make the big decision and the winner performs with the Pussycat Dolls as their new member.”
Don’t forget, they do edit the show to be more entertaining, and so you might not be seeing the whole story, Melissa S, who left the show last week pointed out to us in an interview. But you’ll probably remember that Melissa S also told us she thought Chelsea would not be the winner of The Search for the Next Doll.
We asked you what you thought, and here’s what some of you had to say:
Mage thinks Chelsea has a good chance:
“I’m rooting for Chelsea. Here’s why I think she’ll win: 1) Take a look at the episode where Melissa S., Melissa R., and Asia danced with the Pussycat Dolls. What do you notice? They’re all too short! The only finalist that is approximately the height of the other Pussycat Dolls, is Chelsea. 2) Everyone keeps commenting on the fact the Chelsea is a quick study. She’s holding her own, and she’s learned a lot in the past few weeks. Robin has commented on several occasions how she can “visualize” Chelsea with the Pussycat Dolls. She hasn’t made that comment about any of the other finalists. 3) Chelsea has the voice. As fast as she’s learning dance, I don’t think the other finalists can improve their voices as fast. 4) She has the look. She has a unique style and look that would complement the Pussycat Dolls.”
Marlene said:
“I want Melissa R. to win. I think she has everything you need to be a pussycat doll. She’s gorgeous, she can dance, and she can sing. I hope she wins. Oh and Chelsea has got to go home already. Has anyone ever heard of a pussycat doll that can’t dance?”
Flavor picks Asia:
“Asia is wonderful, when that girl dances she makes you watch her, her facial expressions, her hair…she is beautiful. Some come down hard on her voice but in the high ranges it’s very nice to listen to. When she sang Too little too late there were moments in that song that reached the soul. She handles herself very well in public speaking…check out the commercial and the interview…she has it together. I’m not knocking the fact that she has a daughter…she can still pursue her dream and people who bring that up don’t give a !@#!@ about her daughter, its just an excuse for their favorite to win.”
