At least we’re getting a steady storyline this time around.
The Fringe season premiere last week floated a hell lot of questions–and that’s just on the scientific front. What exactly is William Bell trying to tell Olivia? Why is Charlie, or whatever the name of the creature that’s posing as him, going for Livy? What kind of war is happening? And why? And is it Walter’s fault? I haven’t mentioned anything about him and Peter yet, although the custard bit was funny.
No, not flan. Custard.
Tonight’s episode continues with those questions, as Walter decides to play with frogs and see if they can travel through realities. (If you’re thinking about the glyphs, don’t worry, I don’t think they’d mean more than that. Funny thing it has to be frogs, though. Why not rats?) The team heads to some place in the middle of Pennsylvania, where they investigate the case of a construction worker who suddenly goes missing.
But, of course, in usual Fringe fashion, that’s not all there is to things. It’s not an isolated incident, for one. And then there’s the fact that the missing guy disappeared after going into an underground tunnel filled with human remains. And yes, I have the urge to connect it to the Observer kid from last season, because it’s also an underground tunnel, only without human remains…
…don’t tell me it’s another one of those experiments.
