The moment Game of Thrones fans have waited more than five years for finally looks possible. Arya Stark is making her way to Winterfell and there’s a chance all Starks will reunite in Winterfell. The trailer for season 7, episode 4 “The Spoils of War” hints at the possibility, as Arya is the last sibling to make it home. All fans need now is for Jon Snow to return from Dragonstone and the reunion will be complete.
The Creepy Reunion Between Bran and Sansa Stark
Bran Stark finally made it back to Winterfell in “The Queen’s Justice,” but it wasn’t quite the emotional reunion that some fans had hoped for. Bran remained calm and Zen throughout the meeting, and shared everything that he knew about his older sister. It was a creepy reunion, especially for Sansa, as in her mind she relived her wedding night with Ramsey Bolton.

The return of Bran meant just one Stark had to make it back to Winterfell: Arya. The trailer for Game of Thrones season 7, “The Spoils of War,” shows her overlooking her former home. Blink and you’ll miss it, but it’s an important hint into what is to come.
This isn’t the first time she has been close to one of her siblings. Each time something has pulled her away or prevented the reunion, such as The Red Wedding or learning of her aunt’s death.
Will something pull Arya away this time? Out of all the characters on the show, Arya has arguably changed the most. She went from a young girl going through “dance” training, to the girl-with-no-name. She learned how to be an assassin, with a list of names to kill for revenge. Unlike other Starks, she isn’t afraid to get her hands physically dirty and shows no mercy when it comes to individuals on the opposite side of her.
This change in personality could make her second guess her decision to return home. It would be natural for her to feel apprehensive. Sansa doesn’t know she’s still alive or what she has been through, and Arya may decide to return south instead of facing her family. The only thing that could stop her is Bran knowing she is just outside, so he can send someone out to bring her through the gates.
Why Arya Stark is the Strongest Character on Game of Thrones>>>
Jon Snow Is Still in Dragonstone
Even if Arya makes it into Winterfell, Jon remains in Dragonstone for the time being. He still needs to mine the dragonglass and the trailer for “The Spoils of War” makes it clear that Daenerys needs his help. She is losing her army and losing the war, so needs all the help that she can get. She may not allow him to leave Dragonstone with the dragonglass after all, meaning that he won’t make it back to Winterfell soon enough for a full Stark reunion.
It certainly looks like a Stark reunion is going to happen. Game of Thrones is finally delivering the one moment fans have begged for throughout the years. The remaining Starks will get a chance to share their journeys and transformations, as long as Arya has the courage to step through the gates of Winterfell. After all, she and Sansa need to do some apologizing to each other for the way they acted in the past.
The only one likely missing is Jon, but that reunion could come a week later. It has to happen as some point, as Bran needs to tell Jon about his true parentage.
