Want to be on Glee? Yes, I know you do, especially if you’re the sort who sings in front of your bedroom mirror with a brush, or strums the guitar like there’s no tomorrow for you and whoever you’re singing to.
Fox finally released details of their nationwide casting call, which will be done on MySpace. Remember, they’re looking for three new characters who will begin in the second season. You can be an amateur or professional performer, aged 16 to 26.
Starting today until April 26, you can upload your videos over at www.myspace.com/gleeauditions. You can perform any of the songs performed on the show in the first 13 episodes–well, you can choose from 10, including “Lean On Me”, “You Can’t Always Get What You Want” or my personal favorite “True Colors”. You can also sing a song of your choice. You can perform a cappella or with instrumentation. Your video should also feature you explaining why you should be on Glee.
Videos can be up to five minutes long: a one-minute explanation and a four-minute performance. There’s a one-submission-per-person limit, so do your best!
More details are at the MySpace page, including more rules and the complete song list. Or you can watch Matthew Morrison explain what’ll go down:
So, do you think you can cut it? Wouldn’t it be cool if one of you BuddyTV-loving gleeks would make it on the show? Yeaaaah. Come on, gleeks.
Oh, and have you seen the photos off Glee‘s return episode on April 13? It’s right below!
