The Office, which just got an Emmy nod for Best Comedy, left fans with the idea that Pam and Jim are expecting a child. The thought of bringing in a baby in a comedy series is a little bit alarming to some fans but Office executive producer Greg Daniels seems to have it all under control.
Read on for more scoop on The Office, as well as casting updates on Parks and Recreation.
“There’s going to be a staffing change for Jim at work,” Daniels revealed. “And with Pam pregnant, expect some life moves in that area.”
As for his other comedy series, Parks and Recreation, Daniels says that the show will be casting a policeman who works at town hall and could be both a comic foil and a love interest for Amy Poehler’s Leslie Knope.
TV Guide Magazine also reports that Parks and Recreation is looking for an actress to play host of a local political talk show called Pawnee Today. When asked if Alaska governor Sarah Palin would be cast in the part, Daniels dismisses the idea and says “probably not.”
“But we have a beauty pageant episode coming up. She might be right for that,” Daniels added.
